EXCITING CAREER OPPORTUNITIES IN PLASTICS MANUFACTURING

Our client, a leading plastics manufacturing concern is in the process of filling up various positions within the company. The positions in question are Mould Technician, Quality Assurance Intern, Mechanical Technician and Administration Intern. The roles are all located in Nairobi.

1. MOULD TECHNICIAN

The ideal candidate should meet the following criteria:

  • Minimum grade 3 technician in addition to formal education
  • A holder of Certificate of Diploma in relevant field will be an added advantage;
  • At least one (1) experience in the plastic molding industry as a blow and injection molder technician is a MUST;
  • Ability to troubleshoot, repair or replace all components of Injection Molding machines, Blow Molding Machinery and equipment.
  • This includes but is not limited to all electrical equipment, hydraulics, mechanical, piping, pumps, and pneumatics in the Molding Department.
  • Ability to read schematics and manuals highly desired.

Salary Range: Kshs 40,000 plus gross depending on experience

2. QUALITY ASSURANCE INTERN

The ideal candidate should have the following:

  • At least a Diploma or Degree in Quality Assurance, Manufacturing/Production or Processing /Chemical engineering or related field;
  • Ability to use vernier calipers, weighing scales and any other test/checking equipment used in the manufacturing/plastics industry.
  • Willingness to learn and adapt to a busy working environment.

Salary Range: No Salary until the candidate is confirmed to the role.

3. MECHANICAL TECHNICAN

The ideal candidate should have the following:

  • A holder of a Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Mechanical/Plant Engineering.
  • Some Accounting background or experience with budgets desired.
  • 3 to 5 years’ experience in high output plastics manufacturing environment with in-depth knowledge of hydraulics and electrical equipment.
  • 5 to 7 years’ experience working in maintenance field as supervisor or manager with direct report.
  • Ability to lead a team of technicians and operators.
